EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Music Milton will offer learning experiences to the youth in our area. The experiences will include school programs, masterclasses and Family Concerts.

Music programs will be offered to both public and private schools and will feature accomplished musicians performing and interjecting learning moments about their instruments, a musical form (e.g., the string quartet) or the music and composers they love. The programs will be interactive.

A Masterclass Is a lesson given in public to a talented student by an expert. During the class, the student is mentored in both the technical and expressive elements of their performance. Open to the public, observing a masterclass is a fascinating way to learn about the music and how an artist prepares for a performance, as well as enjoy the talents of young musicians.

Our Family Concerts will target the young and young at heart. Many of the concerts will be narrated stories with musicians accompanying the story line. Our youth will be invited to sit on the floor at the foot of musicians where they will hear the story, see the instruments and watch the musicians perform.

All educational programming will be free of charge.
